Synthetic turf that is strong and durable even when wet

Chemical characteristics at the basis of the quality advantages:
PU, unlike other backings, is not subject to any oxidation process in time. Based on the fact that there are no free chemical reactants or
plastisizers left in the cured backing, neither hardening nor brittleness occurs over time.
The characteristics of the PU coating do not change over time by exposure to environmental temperature changes.
Heat, which is a catalyst in the oxidation process, has no influence as there is no chemical reaction capacity left. Consequently heat does not
cause aging of the backing.
Cold does not cause significant stiffening or fragility because the glass transition temperature of PU is very low.
PU coating is hydrophobic.
PU coating is fully cured, i.e. chemically stable and inert; in brief, the backing does not age and humidity does not weaken the chemical
compound of the backing significantly.

Strong tuft bond, even when wet

One of the main advantages of PU coating lies in the far better tuft lock of all the monofilament ends in every tuft, ascertaining a much
better bond than the Fifa requirements.
As the chemical compound is not susceptible to aging or weakening by humidity, the backing does not suffer of hardening, brittleness or
fragility over time. The tuft strength remains unchanged.

Minimized distortion and shrinkage

Synthetic turf with PU-coating has excellent dimensional stability. The chemical process of PU compound offers more precise tuning
possibilities than other coating materials, resulting in a better penetration of the PU in the primary backing and tuft holes.
